We’re pleased to introduce the new Physical Education teacher at Hanover Central Middle School and the new Hanover Central Wildcat Football Coach.  Mr. Parker is from and currently resides in Crown Point.  He is a graduate of Crown Point High School and holds a B.A. in History from Purdue University and earned his teaching certification from Calumet College at St. Joseph’s.  He taught in the Hammond school system for 5 years and spent 5 years teaching at Merrillville High School before joining the Hanover team.

He has been married to wife, Casey for 7 years and they have two daughters Cecelia (6) and Camille (3) and added their third family member, son Cash in June.  “I can’t forget the other member of our family “Taj,” a 7-year old Boxer that essentially runs the household,” said Coach Parker.

“I come from a household of educators.  My father, Rick, retired 2 years ago after being a member of NISEC (Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative) for 40 years and my mother is currently working in the School City of Hammond as the Director of Evaluation,” explained Mr. Parker.

When it comes to hobbies and pastimes, Mr. Parker describes his life as: “I guess you could say in my spare time I wear many hats such as; soccer dad, softball dad/assistant coach, dance dad, gymnastics dad, teacher dad, etc.”  He is essentially Dad.  He enjoys all varieties of music and his favorite book is “Above the Line,” by Urban Meyer and his two favorite movies are:  Top Gun and The Burbs.

“I am beyond excited to start this new professional chapter in my life in the Hanover Central School Corporation.  The opportunity to be part of such a blossoming community/school district with so many great people is the chance of a lifetime.”
