What is Title I?

 

   - Supplemental federal funding for low achieving students targeted to high poverty schools.

   - Provides extra academic support and learning opportunities for children who are most at-risk for not meeting state and local standards. 

 

 

   - Title I is EXTRA, beyond what is already provided to all students

   - Purchase of materials and supplies - research base

   - Instruction should focus on reading and math
