Hi! I am Diane Kossis. I am a speech pathologist/teacher/therapist…that means my gig at Hanover Middle School and Jane Ball is communicating-which means talking, listening, laughing, sharing language. It is the perfect job for me (for the last 30 years) as I love to talk and listen to people. I have lived and worked in Pennsylvania, Virginia and in Southern Indiana, but spent 7 years (2008-2015) living overseas before coming to Northwest Indiana. My husband’s job took us to Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean for 5 years-perfect because I love the sea, warm weather and can speak Greek. I also spent 2 years in Kazakhstan (in Asia right just west of China)-much colder which prepared me for winters in Northwest Indiana. I have 2 children- my son is an optometrist working in Munster, and he got married last year and my daughter is in her last year of optometry school. Some of my hobbies are reading, cooking, traveling (I have visited 10 countries so far), and exploring with my husband, Peter and our dog Bella. Something you may not know: We built a new house with a farm, complete with turkeys, chickens, pigs and are hoping to add a goat or two. I am thrilled to be starting my fourth year here as part of the Hanover family.
