Thanks for dropping by - 'tis the information hub to learn all about the Criminal Justice instructor at HCHS!
Let me introduce myself, ALussa Kepshire 2009 graduate of Hobart High School and 2013 graduate from St. joseph's College - GO PUMAS! I grew up a student-athlete, and continued my track career through college as a shot-put, discus, hammer, and javelin thrower. While at St. Joseph's College, I was a Criminal Law Teaching Assistant as well as a Victim Advocate Intern at the Porter County Prosecutor's Office. I graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice on the Forensic's track with a minor in Sociology. I worked as an Investgator with the Indiana Dept. of Child Servises (Madison County) as well as a Commnuity Liason in Lake County. Fast forward, I went into the commerical trucking side of things in terms of DOT compliance, Customs and Border Patrol, and all things legal regarding tractor-trailers as well as shipping hubs...which has brought me full circle in the classroom to teach the students that they have so many options when it comes to "Criminal Justice."
Outside of the classroom walls, i'm very much a "Real Person." I reside in Lowell with my Fiance Jason, our beautiful baby girl Hayden Jo, and our hyperactive pup Zoey (Pitbull/Jack Russel mix). I am very much an outdoor person - camping, bonfires, offroading, working on racecars in the garage, and all things nature - count me in! I like to have fun in everything I do, and I intend to bring an exciting element to the classroom that gets the kids excited to learn!
Parents and students - want to know what is going on? Schoology is kept up to date so you never have to wonder if something will be late!
