New Family Preregistration Guide

The Hanover Preregistration form collects the initial information necessary to welcome new students to our district. This online process replaces the information we traditionally collected in person.


Who Should Use This Form?
If you are new to Hanover, enrolling an additional student, or returning to the district after previously withdrawing, please follow the steps below. 

Residency must be verified even if a student moves within the district.

How to Create Your Account
You can access the form via our website by using the direct link below.

  1. Visit the Preregistration Site: Go to: https://www.hanover.k12.in.us/preregistration
  2. Create Your Account: Click the "Create Account" button.
  3. Enter Parent Details: Fill out the requested profile and security information, then click the "Create Account" button at the bottom to finalize your setup.
  4. Add Your Student: Enter your child's First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth to begin the form.

Registering Multiple Children?
A separate Pre-Registration form must be submitted for each new student in your family.

  • Complete and submit the form for your first child.
  • On the "Submission Confirmation" page, look for the option to begin a new registration for a sibling.

Returning Students
Online registration for returning students will begin on Monday, July 21, 2025 and continue through Friday, July 25, 2025. All returning students need to re-register for the coming school year.

Parents and guardians will sign in to https://hcsc.powerschool.com/public using their parent account and click on the Returning Student Enrollment link found in the Navigation menu. Please review the data for accuracy and make the necessary changes. Anyone who has moved and remains in our district is required to meet with the registrar for residency verification.

Residency must be verified even if a student moves within the district.

New Students
Online registration for new students will begin on Monday, July 21, 2025 and continue through Friday, July 25, 2025. Before enrolling your student in our district, residency must be verified. Residency verification is completed through the pre-registration process (see above "New Family Preregistration Guide").

Residency

Welcome to the Hanover Community School Corporation and to our community.  The Hanover Community School Corporation Board of Trustees has adopted policies and guidelines rearding proof of residency.

The documentation required is listed below:

  • A valid Indiana Driver’s license or State ID and vehicle registration;
  • Mortgage papers, current lease agreement or property tax statement;
  • Two Utilities (2) following are examples:
  • NIPSCO bill
  • Water bill
  • Pay stub
  • Insurance bill – home, medical, auto
  • Telephone / cell phone bill
  • Bank statement

The above items must include the parent and/or legal guardian's names(s) with current address within the Hanover District.

Before registering your student(s), please contact our residency official to schedule a meeting to complete the residency verification process.
